Has A Woman’s Perception Of Relationships Actually Changed?
After watching what can only be described as car crash television, i tuned in last night to “Love Rat & Proud”, this programme delved and showed it’s viewers that sleeping with as many people as possible is a badge of honour.
From the people that were shown, we had a woman that had 5 men on the go at the same time, which to be brutally honest she actually looked like a hooker, we then had a twenty something man who set up his own school to show other men how to get women, but i thought the whole love rat school was a bit over the top and thought they tactics he was teaching actually degraded women.
We then had a older man who claimed to have slept with over a 1000 women, which he met through dating sites, again i very much doubt he had slept with a 1000 women, let alone 10 women.
What we see from the 2 men in the show, is that they see women as cattle and meat they can simply fuck when they please. From what we see from these two is that they have deep commitment issues, it’s clear these two will end up sad and lonely.
We see that the media, internet and other sources project this type of image we have on relationships, but it’s wrong.
Men will never truly understand how women think, it doesn’t matter how smart your are or perceptive you are, women will always be mysterious creatures. We can sum up initially what a woman’s perception of the relationship they want is, as below:
What Women Look For In A Man?!
- Good Listener
- Positive Role Model (Potential Father/Husband)
- Generous, Attentive, Caring
From the small but to the point list, the show never depicted that women look for this in a man, but we do know that women do look for this, no matter what their background or cultural status, why?
We can look at the Mr Darcy type of man, he’s romantic, cultured and everything women look for in a man, well he used to be.
Moving on from the show that i watched, relationships today are built around sex and not romance, it could be a contribution to the rise in un-wanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted illness.
I’m sure and as sure as hell, that if you bought the lady in your life a bunch of roses and chocolates and took her for a romantic champagne picnic, you will be setting yourself up for the best relationship or romance of your life.
Of course if sex is all your looking then, that’s fine, but lasting relationships are built around romance and love, not sex. Sex is considered a perk within a relationship, but why rush into it, there’s plenty of fun to be had before the big night of passion.
